Cass Drakeford Gets Real and Personal about Mindfulness Meditation. It was not until I walked into Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, DC that I stumbled into this amazing tool that has kept me humble, peaceful and calm. My Uncle Charlie was Mindfully “Riding The Clouds”.
A Mindful Note,
Thank you Uncle Charlie for my first formal introduction to mindfulness and guided meditation. In 2005 as you encountered pain and discomfort on a daily basis mindfulness meditation was your dose of feel better. Amazingly through “Riding the Clouds” you found an avenue to gracefully, and mindfully overcome daily health challenges.
As you stated to me “by riding the clouds” pain and the heavy cares of the world will be acknowledged and then tucked away. Mindfulness and Meditation provides balance that leads to care, love and compassion for oneself and others. I too joined Uncle Charlie’s “Ride the Clouds” journey. As I was challenged with mild anxiety, my quest was to create and implement a combination of mindfulness and guided meditation to quiet the noise in my head.
